Graton Resort & Casino opens new five-story parking garage

Graton Resort & Casino opened its new five-story parking garage Monday, marking the first completion in a multi-year renovation project that kicked off last summer.

“We are proud to announce that it will be opening on Monday, August 12, complete with solar panels, 1,600 parking spaces and 32 EV Charging Stations,” says the casino’s website.

In addition to extra-wide parking spaces, the garage has a digital signage system that displays real-time parking availability on every level. Several eco-friendly features, such as a 1-megawatt solar panel system that completely offsets the building’s electricity consumption, LED light fixtures, and low-level volatile organic compound concrete, paints, and adhesives, are also included.

The $1 billion expansion project also includes the addition of a new poker room, a sports bar, a 28,000-square-foot rooftop restaurant, a six-story hotel and a 3,500-seat theater. Last March, the casino resort received approval to increase its number of authorized slot machines from 3,000 to 6,000.

Opened in November 2013, Graton Resort & Casino is owned and operated by the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, and is home to 3,000 slot machines, more than 100 table games and a poker room.
